The Truth Revealed About Getting 6 Pack Abs

Losing & gaining weight is easy.  Losing & gaining weight in the ways we want (skinny people who want to bulk up or regular people who just want to see their abs) is not so easy.

The way we'd like for it to work isn't the way our bodies are designed.  You see, most of us (save those who are genetically gifted and are naturally lean) store most of the fat on our bodies in our bellies, butts and thighs.

And those are the last 3 places the fat will go away.

See - the thing is you don't "get" a 6-pack.  It's already there.  It's just covered under a lot of flab and fat.  And the truth about abs is that all of that fat has to go before you can see your abs.  Unfortunately - the human body REALLY likes to store fat on our bellies, butts & thighs.

So how do you end up seeing your abs?  You have to follow a good fitness system.  I don't mean some lame method where you colon cleanse or pop a few "acai berries" and end up 15lbs lighter (because you're dehydrated - not because you lost weight) but a real system developed by professionals who have a track record of delivering results.

A good system is based on evidence, facts and must have the following building blocks:

  • Resistance training or interval training.  All of the science and research shows these are the kinds of exercises that really burn calories and exercise our muscles (muscles burn calories and we want to preserve our lean body mass when we diet to preserve our metabolism).
  • A mild emphasis on cardio.  Don't get me wrong - cardio is great for the heart and a good exercise but it's not the ultimate fat burning exercise.
  • Emphasize food quality & quantity.
  • Don't upsell you on a bunch of lame pills and supplements that don't work.
  • Realistic about goals - you can lose 1-3lbs a week at most if you want to be safe.
